PacificBride is owned and operated by Melinda Morris-Ponga who has trained and worked in Auckland, New Zealand for most of her career, having owned her own hair salon for most of that time. Her recent move to Rarotonga with her husband and family prompted her to start up a specialized bridal service offering personalized attention to brides and their wedding parties for the big day. She brings with her a wealth of over 19 years experience in hair styling and make-up artistry and has many awards to her credit including winner of 4 Auckland hairdressing awards and 2 New Zealand National hairdressing awards and was personally requested to be the stylist for Sir Cliff Richard during his tour of New Zealand in 1991. |
| Melinda’s passion for her work is obvious as she attends to the smallest of details to ensure that the bride looks her very best for the most magical day of her life. Her relaxed, confident manner and professionalism is often commented upon and goes a long way in ensuring that everything runs smoothly and everyone is relaxed and happy! Having worked on over 2000 weddings, she not only has the skill and expertise of a qualified hair and make-up stylist, but also has an extensive knowledge of wedding day preparations and proficient time management. She will ensure that every detail is complete which is a blessing when nerves are prevalent and natural inexperience means that some of the normal wedding day procedures could otherwise be overlooked. Melinda’s aim is to establish a friendly, relaxed atmosphere for your special day preparations, creating an over-all look that you are confident and happy with. This extends to a pre-trial hair and makeup session along with helping with dressing and final adjustments before the ceremony begins. |

A wedding is always a very special, loving occasion no matter where you are, but there is definitely something magical about marrying on a beautiful white sand beach surrounded by tropical swaying palms and a glistening lagoon!
